Our Private Stash is a Meritage-style blend. This blend is almost equal parts of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot.
All the grapes were harvested together, crushed together, fermented together, and aged together in small French Oak barrels. Our vineyard yields less than one ton per acre for intense and concentrated flavors. We only make a small quantity of this wine per year.
Bright red fruits of mulberry and black cherry tantalize the palate followed by a hint of cranberry. A long spicy finish of pepper, cedar, and smoky spice. Silky smooth texture with a robust structure. This wine is a perfect balanced of fruits and spices.
Food Pairings: Amazing with fatty steaks. Grilled bone-in ribeye with Caesar salad made from charred romaine topped with generous hunks of fresh parmesan shavings. Try with wine braised beef and mushrooms over polenta. Goes with mild and medium sharp cheddar, aged provolone and parmesan cheeses. Pairs great with Cheddar, Gouda, Comte, and other sharp cheeses and aged cheeses.
