68% TANNAT & 32% TEMPRANILLO
Tannat is historically grown in the Basque Country on the border of France and Spain. It is considered the varietal that contains the most antioxidants of all red wines. Uruguay has successfully adopted Tannat as its “national grape”. Spain grows most of the Tempranillo worldwide. The Tempranillo and the Tannat blend in harmony to create a delicious and well-balanced wine.
Raspberry aromas with rich berry fruit flavors. Dried cherries, plums, and fig mingle with bolder spices including clove, cardamom, dill, and leather.
This wine is aged in the barrel for 20 months, producing a dark, inky, rich and full wine.
Food Pairings: This wine goes well with a wide range of foods. Try with Spanish style foods such as roasted veggies and cured jamon Iberico. Great with smoky barbecue ribs, chile rellenos, street tacos, and burritos. Pairs with Roquefort, Chaumes, Parmesan, Manchego, and Pecorino Toscano.
