Paso Robles has gained notoriety for the famous Zinfandels that are produced. Since 1985, Zinfandel has been our flagship varietal. We call our Ballistic Zinfandel "Paso in a glass" as it is made up of 100% Zinfandel sourced from 27 individual vineyards from the diverse AVAs that Paso has to offer.
Ballistic Zinfandel is a full-bodied wine with a rich mouth feel. It is velvety and smooth. Each sip is a discovery of layered flavors.
It has jammy raspberry and blackberry flavors, a hint of minerality and earth, as well as a bit of pepper spice on the finish.
Food Pairings: Try with spiced BBQ pork chops seasoned with ginger, cumin, and paprika served with roasted red peppers and caramelized onions. Pair with lamb shank vindaloo (slow cook with garam masala, ginger, paprika, cayenne, onions and garlic). Goes great with lasagna and other pasta dishes. Try with robust flavorful cheeses such as Gorgonzola and Aged Gruyere.
