Our Port is made from Touriga Nacional, Souzao, and Tinta Cao varietals that have been fortified with brandy. We harvest these grapes late, allowing the sugars to concentrate on the vine. Aged two years in seasoned French oak barrels. We add Brandy to the barrel and then age for an additional two years in the bottle. This is considered a Ruby style port. Our Port will continue to age well for many years.
Our Port is rich and full-bodied. Slow swirling, luxurious, and creamy. Flavors of red fruits, mixed with mild nutty notes mingle with chocolate, chocolate, chocolate.
Food Pairings: Pair with your favorite chocolate. Try dark chocolate truffles, apple crisp, or salted caramels. Try with chorizo and blue cheese stuffed dates. Pair with aged hard cheeses like Manchego, Parmigiano-Reggiano, Cheddar, Blue cheese, Stilton, and Gorgonzola.
